In the Kitchen with Aidan

Aidan helped me destroy the kitchen the last few days making lots of cookies & breads for our neighbors as a part of their Christmas gifts. He is a really good helper in the kitchen. Then we sat down and made our gingerbread train. We used a kit this year and for once they actually turned out pretty good. Aidan loved that it was a train but really wanted to build a station to go a long with it. I didn't have any graham crackers or I would have let him try. We still need to make some sugar cookies for Santa Clause but then I am done baking for a while.

Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Olson

We let the boys open their Christmas presents from Grandma & Grandpa Olson before they left so they could get to see them open them. They thought getting to open presents early was awesome. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for the wonderful gifts and all the love this week.

Aidan at Soccer

Aidan is playing indoor soccer right now. His coach is amazing. She totally gets this age group and runs them so hard that he almost falls asleep on the ride home each night. He is enjoying it more then the last time he played.

Key West

Jeremy and I were blessed to be able to take a trip to the Florida Keys without our kids for a week. It was an amazing week where we were able to reconnect and just relax and have fun. The weather was beautiful in the low 80's all week and the island was gorgeous. We took a jet ski tour all around the island which was a lot of fun. We got out and swam in the gulf during our 2 hour tour. It was a fun time to be on the island because everything was decorated for Christmas and the atmosphere was very festive. We stayed in a nice house just off the main strip and close to the nicest beach on the island. I highly recommend Key West. The last night we stayed in Miami before we flew out and  it is beautiful too. We went out on the marina there and had dinner at Burgers & Beer a place featured on Man vs. Food. It was absolutely as good as the reviews. A big thank you to Grandma & Grandpa Olson who stayed with our children and spoiled them rotten. We appreciate you driving all the way to us so we could spend some quality time together. You guys are the best.
